Congratulations to Pat Wernke, our Gift It Forward social media contest winner! She won $250 for herself and $250 was donated on her behalf to Matt Talbot Kitchen and Outreach.

Matt Talbot Kitchen and Outreach serves the needs of Lincoln’s working poor and homeless through outreach, advocacy, education, and the provision of food and shelter.

“I chose Matt Talbot as my charity because of all the wonderful things that they do,” said Pat. “They have always provided meals and shelter for the homeless and working poor, but I also found that they provide services to help people with their basic needs.”

Pat has been a member at MembersOwn for the last 35 years. She notes the friendly customer service as one of the reasons she keeps coming back, in addition to our ability to provide the same, if not better, services as a traditional bank.

Pat is especially fond of our commitment to the local community, noting that the Gift It Forward contest is, “-a great service to help provide for the non-profits in [Lincoln].”
