Congratulations to Michelle Bulin, our Gift It Forward social media contest winner! She won $500 for herself, and a $500 donation was made in her name to BraveBe Child Advocacy Center – a safe place for kids in southeast Nebraska to go when exposed to trauma related to child abuse, neglect, sex trafficking, and violent crime.

Michelle first learned about BraveBe through colleagues who were involved with the organization. She acknowledged that while the nonprofit’s work is difficult, it ultimately seeks to provide hope for the children and families it serves in our community.

“Everyone knows a child that has needed a safe place to land or some resources to get them through,” she said.

Michelle first became a credit union member 27 years ago when she joined the Amertias Employees Credit Union, which is now the MembersOwn we know and love today!

When asked what she likes best about MembersOwn, Michelle mentioned having the ability to have loan payments taken out of her check and having direct deposits made into her savings account. Adding, “You don’t see the money, and you don’t miss it.”
