Investing in the Communities We Call Home
At MembersOwn Credit Union, being community-driven is part of who we are. As a not-for-profit financial cooperative, we believe stronger communities create stronger futures for everyone. That’s why we invest in local organizations, programs, and events that make a meaningful difference across the communities we serve. Whether it’s supporting financial education, youth programs, mental health initiatives, or community events, we’re proud to partner with organizations that share our commitment to helping people thrive.
Every sponsorship request is thoughtfully reviewed with our mission, values, and available budget in mind. While we’d love to support every opportunity, our resources are limited, and not every request can be funded.
What We Look For
We give preference to requests that:
- Are submitted by MembersOwn members
- Come from nonprofit organizations or community groups
- Support financial education or financial well-being
- Promote youth development, mental health, or community enrichment
- Align with MembersOwn’s mission and values
- Provide meaningful opportunities for community partnership
We also consider our available budget when reviewing requests. Previous sponsorships are not guaranteed future funding.
Sponsorship Guidelines
Before submitting a request, please note:
- Requests should be submitted at least 30 days before the event or program.
- Funding decisions are based on community impact, alignment with our mission, and available budget.
- We generally do not fund individual requests, single-family causes, or organizations outside our field of membership. Exceptions may be considered on a case-by-case basis.
Making an Impact Together
MembersOwn is proud to support local schools, nonprofit organizations, community events, and long-standing partners throughout southeast Nebraska.
One of our favorite community initiatives is Gift It Forward. Each quarter, we select a member who has shared their financial journey with us. That member receives $500 and chooses a local nonprofit to receive an additional $500 donation. Through this program, we’ve helped organizations like CEDARS, Hope Crisis Center, BraveBe Child Advocacy Center, Beatrice Humane Society, Blue Valley Behavioral Health, Southeast Nebraska CASA, and many others continue making a difference in our communities.
