What is SavvyMoney?
SavvyMoney is a free financial wellness tool available within MembersOwn’s online and mobile banking. It provides access to your credit score, credit report, monitoring alerts, credit education, personalized recommendations, debt-to-income insights, and more—all in one secure location.
How do I access SavvyMoney?
Simply log in to online or mobile banking and select Credit Score. Your personalized dashboard is ready whenever you are.
Is there a fee?
No. SavvyMoney is provided free as a benefit of your MembersOwn membership.
Will checking my credit score hurt my credit?
No. SavvyMoney uses a soft credit inquiry, which does not affect your credit score. Unlike a hard inquiry used during a loan application, checking your own credit through SavvyMoney has no impact on your score.
How often is my credit score updated?
Your score is updated automatically every seven days, and you can refresh it daily to view the most current information available.
What if I notice incorrect information?
If you believe information on your credit report is inaccurate, you can dispute it directly within SavvyMoney through the TransUnion dispute process. You may also request a free annual credit report at AnnualCreditReport.com to review your complete credit history.
Why is my credit score different from another score I’ve seen?
Different lenders use different credit bureaus and scoring models, such as VantageScore® or FICO®. Because each model weighs information differently, it’s common to see slight variations between scores.
Will MembersOwn use my SavvyMoney score to make lending decisions?
MembersOwn considers a variety of factors when reviewing loan applications. The score displayed in SavvyMoney is intended to help you better understand your credit and may differ from the information used during the lending process.
