We are proud to introduce MembersOwn Credit Union’s Featured Member Spotlights. It’s a chance to get to know fellow members, and to appreciate the wonderful charities in our area.
Laura Bell
Congratulations to Featured Member, Laura Bell of Lincoln. Laura and her family have been members of MembersOwn Credit Union for nearly 29 years.
“Over the years I have worked with MembersOwn personally and professionally as a commercial real estate broker with Commercial Realty Group, LLC,” she says. “They have never let us down with the products and services they provide.”
Laura and her family have used the credit union’s services since her husband, Doug, worked for Lincoln Telephone Company. They use checking, savings, line of credit and car loan services. Laura says, “Soon we will have a home mortgage with MembersOwn too, as this is a new product they are starting to offer.”
The Alzheimer’s Association - Great Plains Chapter is the charity Laura picked to receive a donation given by MembersOwn on her behalf in appreciation of her being a Featured Member.
“I have a business client whose wife has Alzheimer’s and she is only 53 years old. This really hit home as this is my age,” Laura explains. “According to a new study by the nonprofit RAND Corp, Alzheimer’s is one of the most costly diseases to society. It is my desire that this gift be used to help fund a cure.”
The Alzheimer’s Association – Great Plains Chapter serves and advocates for an estimated 33,000 Great Plains residents struggling with Alzheimer’s or related dementia. The association’s mission is to eliminate the disease by advancing research, enhancing care for those affected and promoting brain health.
Thank you, Laura, for helping us give to this important cause that matters to you!

Kim Rogge
Congratulations to Featured Member, Kim Rogge of Lincoln. Kim has been a member for 14 years. Why does she choose MembersOwn?
“I love the low interest rates, and the fact that the credit union is member-owned,” she says. “I can always get a fast response or call back to any question I have. Thumbs up to that super customer service!”
Kim uses our savings accounts, loans, and credit cards. Having all these options is important when you’re caring for a busy family. Kim and her husband have been married for 12 years, and they have two daughters, ages 8 and 10. “They bring a lot of joy to my life,” she says.
For her charity, Kim has selected the Capital Human Society of Lincoln. In appreciation of her being our Featured Member, we made a donation to the society on Kim’s behalf.
“We have two pets of our own, and we recently lost one,” Kim explains. “I feel this gift will go far for an organization that I believe is doing a good thing for our community.”
The Capital Humane Society is getting ready to open a new Animal Adoption Center at 70th & Highway 2. The new center will provide animals that are ill, injured, or temperamentally difficult with more time and opportunities to become adopted. The center is also a shining example of green construction, with efficient windows and insulation, sensors to optimize energy use, and cleaning system and landscaping to reduce water consumption.
Hats off to the Capital Humane Society and to Kim Rogge, our Featured Member.
